Once you have found the products you need then you can purchase them securely at attractive and competitive prices with the added bonus of free P&P for all orders over £8. There are two stages involved in buying a book on thinkivp.com: adding it to your basket and paying for it.
Buy now
In every search result and on every book information page you will find a link which allows you to add that product to your basket. Normally the link will be labelled 'Buy it now' or 'Add to basket', but it may also say 'preorder' if the product you wish to buy has not yet been published. Clicking once on a link like this will add the product to your shopping basket, which is a list of the books that you want to purchase. Your basket is viewable in the bar at the top of the website, displaying your items and the cost.
Adding an item to your basket does not commit you to purchasing it; you can take it out of your basket at any time.
Multi-buy
Once you have clicked 'add to basket' the same button will now display ‘new quantity’. You are now able to adjust the amount by entering the number that you wish to order into the small box. There are discounts available for when you wish to order more than 10 or 20 of the same product.
Basket
To view what’s in your basket click on ‘view’. This is located next to ‘Your Basket’ in the black bar at the top of the screen. Once you have clicked on this, you will be able to see the items in your basket in more detail.
Promotional code
If you have a ‘special offer code’ and wish to use it, you can enter this into the box that appears with the yellow background above your order summary. Enter it in, click ‘Use promotional code’ and this will be applied to your order.
Change quantity / delete items
In the summary section of your order, you are able to adjust the quantity that you wish to order by entering in your preferred amount into the box below ‘Quantity’, clicking on ‘Recalculate’ or pressing ‘Enter’ on your keyboard. Your order will now be adjusted accordingly. Or, if you do not wish to order a particular item, you can delete the product by clicking on the ‘x’ icon below ‘Delete’.
To continue shopping, click on the 'Continue Shopping' button.
To continue to the checkout, click on the ‘Proceed to Checkout’ button.
Your shopping basket remembers the items you want to buy. You can search for further books without losing the contents of you basket. When you are ready to pay for your order, return to your basket by clicking 'Checkout' at the top of the screen.
Checkout
Once you are happy with your order and have checked that the items in your basket are definitely the ones you want, click on the ‘Proceed to Checkout’ button.
Completing your Contact Details
Before proceeding we need to collect your name and address. We do this before asking for credit card information as your address will determine any charges for postage and packing.
If you have already registered as a customer on our site, click on ‘Yes, I am a returning customer’ and you can log in using your email address and password. Otherwise, you will need to select 'No, I am a new customer' and will then be asked for your contact details. Your email, address and password are compulsory
When filling in your address, make sure you use the details associated with the credit or debit card you wish to use to pay for your items. When you are happy, click the 'Register' button at the bottom of the page.
Delivery
The next page refers to your delivery details. If you wish to have your order delivered to a different address than your card address please remember to click on ‘Change delivery address’ and enter in the alternative.
You can also add any additional comments or delivery instructions in the box below the address section.
Normally we are happy to deliver your order to an address other than your own, but for security reasons we reserve the right to refuse. Please complete all the required details and press the 'Order' button.
Shipping Costs
If there is a shipping cost this will be added on to your order at the time of payment.
There is a £1.99 charge for post and packing of orders under £8. Any orders over £8 have free UK postage. If you are purchasing from outside the UK, there is a standard additional charge of £3.95 per order.
Payment
A summary of your order will always appear on the right-hand side of the screen throughout the order process. If you are not happy with your selection please click on ‘return to basket’ to change it.
Check that your billing address is correct. If you wish to change it please click on ‘Change billing address’ to update your details.
You will finally be asked for card payment information. Please fill in all required fields, tick the box to confirm that you agree to our terms and conditions, and then click 'Order' to complete the transaction.
Order Confirmation and Receipt
Once you have placed your order the site will display a receipt. You should print this out as your record of the transaction. Each order has a unique order number, which should be quoted in any correspondence and can be entered on the website to track the progress of your order.
We will also send you an e-mail confirming your order.
